Under The Weather

So, this week. Atlanta's been under the weather and I have, too. I've been home sick with the flu for the past couple of days and I've been glued to CNN watching their coverage of that nasty flood water covering our beautiful capital city. Sometimes you just gotta laugh to keep from crying. I swiped this spoof picture from Ami's Facebook today.  I thought it was hilarious!  Kanye West is such an idiot.  I love that somebody made fun of him this way.  :)

I've had the flu or something very much like the flu.  Since I've been exposed almost daily for weeks to the H1N1 flu, I'm going with that.  The seasonal flu hasn't kicked in yet.  I haven't been getting enough sleep lately thanks to my newfound friend, Baby Minnie Paws, and my immune system is weak.  It was just a matter of time before it got me, too.  I started coming down with it Sunday and today, I'm almost my old self again.  I was able to get Tamiflu early and I just want to say that stuff is da bomb!  I know I wouldn't feel this good this soon without it.  The only difference in what I have and flues I've had in the past is this one brings along horrible pain in your bones and joints and really bad nausea. We've been having loads of fun!  The other issues I've had this time, fever, headache, extreme tiredness and that infernal dry coughing, are all regular flu stuff.

I'm going back to work tomorrow. No fever for 24 hours! I figured if Six Flags could open Saturday (OMG! Did y'all SEE that??) after being drowned by 20 feet of water, life could get back to normal for me, too.

  1. Kanye IS an idiot!! I LOVE that picture! I laughed and laughed, out loud, HARD, randomly all day after I saw it. Like, I would just think of it and start laughing hysterically. BWAH!! :D I'm so glad you survived the Swine Flu and are feeling better!! Oh, yeah, I saw that Six Flags mess!! Surreal! The Scream Machine looked very quiet. :(

  2. Having read Ami's eloquent comment up there, and agreeing with every bit of it, I'll just say I second that. :)
I'm so glad you are feeling better.
